About Dr. Cromer

Dr. Cromer is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist serving south-central PA. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University, her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Connecticut, her clinical internship at Yale School of Medicine, and her postdoctoral education at Harvard Medical School.

After her training, Dr. Cromer spent eleven years at the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Connecticut, where she was the Program Director of an in-patient Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program, conducted outpatient neuropsychological evaluation, and provided therapy including treatment of insomnia, concussion, and other brain-based disorders. During this time she also helped found the Center for Cognitive Health, served on the board of directors of the Brain Injury Alliance of Connecticut, and earned her Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology (an advanced specialty certification held by only 1% of psychologists).

A graduate of Northern High School in Dillsburg, she was happy to return to PA where she spent five years leading the concussion services of central PA program at UPMC before starting her private practice.

Dr. Cromer is a deeply caring practitioner who values interpersonal connection and taking the time to understand her patient’s needs. She is an expert in the stress response system and brain-behavior relationships, which she uses to teach patients about the biological basis for psychological conditions and unlocking the brain’s capacity to heal. She started her practice to focus on one-to-one time with patients and helping each individual “SHED” their symptoms.
